Somoy Television (lit. 'time television') is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable 24-hour Bengali television channel based in Banglamotor, Dhaka. The government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has granted it a broadcast NOC license. It has been commercially broadcast since 17 April 2011, following a test transmission on 10 October 2010. The channel is broadcast via satellite Bangabandhu-1, Bangladesh's first satellite, which is operated by Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Limited. Somoy Media Limited, a subsidiary of the City Group, owns the channel.
